"TUNNEL BUSTER"

As World War II progressed, the duel rise of urban warfare and motorized transport created the need for short-barreled quick-handling rifles. Many countries developing carbine versions of their main battle rifles. The Russians shortened their Mosin-Nagant 91/30 and made the M38 and M44 carbine, and the British took their #4 Enfield rifle and built the famous #5 Jungle Carbine. Due to the development of the M1 Carbine, the United States military never produced a short-barreled bolt action carbine for infantry use.

…But if they had, they would have built the Tunnel Buster™.

Gibbs Rifle, the company that created the Quest™ and Summit™ carbines from original Enfield actions, has now developed the Tunnel Buster™, built on the venerable M1903A3 action. Each Tunnel Buster™ features a weather-resistant synthetic stock with enameled camo pattern, fully parkerized barreled action and hardware and a shortened 18 3/4" barrel with a replica #5 Jungle Carbine flash hider/front sight/bayonet lug. Collectively, these features make the Tunnel Buster compact, reliable, and just flat-out cool-looking. Perfect for many uses, from a truck gun on the ranch in dealing with coyotes to dispatching sharks on the fishing boat.
Had "Carbine" Williams not invented the M1 Carbine, who would doubt that the U.S. military would have shortened the 1903A3 in a similar fashion to issue to paratroopers jumping at Ste. Mere-Eglise in World War II, Marines at Inchon and Tunnel Rats in Vietnam.
Like the Quest™ and Summit™ before it, the Tunnel Buster™ takes the best features of historic military arms and translates them to meet modern sporting needs.
